Shreveport, LA- A memorial service celebrating the life of Ronald Glenn Leach, 79, will be held at 11am on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 in the chapel of Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Rd., Shreveport, LA 71108. Visitation with the family will be from 10-11, prior to the service.

Ronald Glenn Leach passed away on Friday, April 4, 2014 at WK Pierremont after a short illness. He was born in New Boston, Ohio on April 15, 1934 to James Leach and Wilma Stewart Leach. He attended schools in Rubyville, Ohio. He joined the Air Force in 1951 and retired after 20 years of service as a medic. Nine of those years were spent at the hospital at Barksdale AFB. He met his wife, Patricia Jospeh Leach when they were both stationed at March AFB, California.

After retiring, he returned to Shreveport to work in the medical field. He was a surgical assistant and was a partner in Leach and Dowden Orthopedic Specialities. He was a member of the El Karubah Shrine, participating in many of the activities as a member of the Legion of Honor. He loved golfing, playing darts, fishing and camping. He especially enjoyed traveling in his motorhome with his wife and grandchildren.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Norma and Edith; his brother, Gene and special great grandson, Jacob.

Ron is survived by his wife of 45 years; 4 brothers, Larry, Clyde(Janet), Raymond and Arnold(Joy); 3 sons, Mike, David(Sherry), Bruce(Tracey) and adopted children, Thomas and Shannon(Matt). He is also survived by his 4 grandchildren, Brandy, Threy, Rhawny and Asheby, as well as 8 great grandchildren, Tyler, Matthew, Kamie, Becky, Ciera, Jaden, Justin and Tristan and one great-great grandchild, Connor. He will be missed by many other friends and family.

In liue of flowers the family requests donations be made to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital, the Cerebal Palsy Association or the charity of the donor's choice.
