Rose was born to Wilmer W. Peters and Marie Hatcher Peters on June 2, 1939 in Pensacola Florida.
She married Henry A. (Hank) Brewer on February 29, 1960, and throughout decades of service and sacrifice to their country, they raised four strong and independent daughters, navigating the challenges of deployments and always making a home wherever the Navy sent them. She was the steady anchor at home, managing everything with humor, resilience, and an unshakable spirit.
A lover of shopping, travel, home renovation, and a good nap, Rose was known for her ability to find a good deal, turn any space into a project, any moment into an excuse for beauty rest, and any appointment into an exercise in patience for those waiting on her arrival. She didn’t believe in being on time—she believed in making an entrance. While we all wish she had been late for this final journey, we find comfort in knowing that heaven runs on grace, not schedules. We are also comforted in knowing that she was reunited with Hank only a day after their 65th Wedding Anniversary, and can only imagine the heavenly celebration that followed that reunion.
Rose is preceded in death by her Parents, Wilmer and Marie Peters, stepfather William A. Kelley, Jr., husband, Henry A. (Hank) Brewer, and granddaughter Erin Elizabeth Bonner.
Survivors include, daughters: Susan Dennington and husband Martin, Karen Brewer and husband Scott, Angela Brewer Muse, Kimberly Pagano and husband Johnny; Grandchildren: Jason Dennington, Marty Dennington, Christina Dennington Brewer and husband Dustin, Chelse Langley and husband Jeremy, Jennifer Whitten and husband James, Ashleigh Hicks and husband Lawerance, Ralph Glen Muse III (Trey) and wife Casey, Megan Miller and husband Scott, Morgan Muse, Rachael Burnett and husband Colton, Heather Taylor, and Elizabeth Lajqi; Brothers, Ray W. All are welcome to join us as we say "see you later" to Rose -- nap enthusiast, shopping pro, and reluctant timekeeper.
"Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him." 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14
