Roslyn Maxwell Free

Visitation will be held at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, Shreveport, LA from 5 to 7 PM on December 11, 2014. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 AM on Friday, December 12, 2014. Officiating will be Pastor James A. McMenis of Word of God Ministries. Burial will follow in Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery.

Roslyn was preceded in death by her father, Paul Otis Maxwell of Shreveport, LA. She is survived by her husband, Larry Glen Free of Mooringsport; mother, Joanne Maxwell Page of Shreveport; one daughter, Jessica Annmarie Sellers; one son, Colton Arthur Iles; one sister, Sherry Maxwell Free of Stonewall, LA; two grandchildren, Gracie Ann Marez and Averie Elise Spencer.

Roslyn graduated with a 4.0 GPA from Word of Life School of Ministry June of 2003. She was ordained by Pastor Denny Duron of Shreveport Community. She served for several years as a Chaplain at LSU Medical Center. She was mentored by her dear friend whom she deeply loved, Rev. Ann Dement-Montes.

Roslyn’s joy was to minister to the broken hearted and those who felt hopeless. She would take every opportunity given to her to share the love of Jesus Christ. She also carried a passionate love for her family, especially her children and grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Larry Free, Billy Free, Bill Free, Jr., Jeff Free, Greg Solomon, Thomas Page, and Steven Marez.
