A visitation for Stella will be held Wednesday, March 29, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Following the visitation will be a celebration of life at 11:00 AM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108. She will be laid to rest in Centuries Memorial Park. Officiating will be Bro. Murry Hodge and Bro. Alton Middleton.
Ms. Stella Ann Coil Lamb entered into rest on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at Willis Knighton South Medical Center after a brief-illness. She was born in Sidney, Ohio to the late Clyde T. Coil and Ermal Loetta Fast Coil. Stella and her husband, Frank moved to Shreveport, Louisiana in 1968. She was a devoted Homemaker, loving wife, mother, grandma and great grandma. She enjoyed making ceramics, reading, watching tv game shows and movies. Stella had a passion for traveling. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and loving on her dogs.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank E. Lamb, Sr.; her father Clyde T. Coil and her mother Ermal Loetta Fast Coil; her sister Grace Virginia Coil Lamb; her brother-in-law Dale Lamb; her brother Clifford Eugene Coil; her brother Kenneth Ray Coil and her sister-in-law June Coil.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Jerry Alan Lamb of Keithville, LA; daughter, Janice Kay Lamb Turner and husband, David of Keithville, LA; three grandchildren, Jennifer Kristin Lamb Wells and husband, Nick of Newport, NC; David Wayne Turner, Jr. of Shreveport, LA and Janell Nicole Turner of Keithville, LA; and one great grandson, Derrin Alexander Wells of Wilson, NC.
The family would like to thank the doctors and especially the nurses of Willis Knighton South for their loving care and to Summer Grove Baptist Church for their support and love during this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Stella's memory may be made to Summer Grove Baptist Church Attention to Women on Mission, in accordance with her passion for local missions or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
