Sgt. Stephen L. Bowen

Shreveport, LA- Funeral services celebrating the life of Stephen L. Bowen, 45, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 23, 2012 in the chapel of Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 22, 2012 at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home.

Stephen was born on January 21, 1967 in St. Louis Missouri and passed away on June 15, 2012 in Shreveport, LA. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army and was very dedicated to his job and to his country. He was a member of the 1083rd Transportation Company in Minden, LA. Mr. Bowen enjoyed spending time with his children, friends and family. He also enjoyed fishing, golfing and cooking. Stephen was a member of the Christian faith and was very outgoing. His favorite team was the Miami Dolphins.

Preceding Stephen in death was his mother, Doris Bowen.

Left to cherish beautiful memories of Mr. Bowen is his father; his children, Zecharia Bowen, Jasmine Bowen and Ashley Bowen; siblings, Glenda Fields, Stephanie Goodman, Glenn Bowen, Brian Bowen, Willie G. Bowen, Jr. and Christoper Bowen. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
