Sylvanus was born December 27, 1948 to the late Sylvanus Thaddeus Howell II and Dorothy Colvin Howell. He was a longtime resident of Shreveport and Mansfield, Louisiana.
He found strength and purpose through his faith and enjoyed attending church. He was an avid LSU sports fan. He also found joy in cooking and comfort in playing the violin.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Carol Shannon Hannaman and John Thaddeus Howell, and his sister, Suzy Jeane.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at Willis Knighton Pierremont for their care and compassion in his last days.
