William Milton Giddings, age 100, of Shreveport, Louisiana passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2020. William was born July 24, 1920 in Coushatta, Louisiana to Dovie Alice Hayes and William Jackson Giddings.
William worked as a Bus Driver for the city of Shreveport, Louisiana. He loved raising Beagles, hunting and fishing, playing dominoes and being with friends and family. He never met a stranger and he loved to talk. He was a longtime member of Pinecroft Baptist Church.
William is survived by his daughter Ann McGee (Bill); sons Jerry Giddings (Linda), Wayne Giddings (Dawn); grandchildren David Martin (Noelle), Robby Giddings (Amber), Keith Giddings (Sarah) and Michael Giddings (Olivia). He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
William was preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Helen Giddings; father William Jackson Giddings and mother Dovie Alice Hayes; brother Ellis Giddings and sister Onetha Hickman.
A graveside service for William will be held Monday, August 10, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Social Springs Cemetery, 2240 US-371, Ringgold, Louisiana 71068. Officiating will be Rev. Cecil Marr.
