William L. "Larry" Martin Jr., of Keithville, Louisiana peacefully passed away at his home on Friday May 6, 2022 at the age of 62. He was born August 1, 1959 in Sacramento, California to Billie M. Harris Martin and William L. Martin Sr.
Larry was an awarded the Eagle Eye Award on December 15, 2016. He married the love of his life, Kathy and together they spent 46 wonderful years together. He loved spending time with his family. He especially cherished the time he spent with his boys, from going fishing with Richard to shooting guns with Billy when he came into town. He admired Dave Dobbins. Larry's life motto was "suck it up and deal with it and finish what you started." He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Kathy L. Martin; sons, Richard D. Martin and William L. Martin III; grandchildren, Matthew B. Martin, Nathan H. Martin and Bailee R. Mitchel; great grandchild, Luna M. Martin; sisters, Tammy S. Martin (Ward), Julie M. Martin (Jordan) and Elizabeth Martin (Dougherty).
Larry was preceded in death by parents; his brother Richard J. Martin and his sister Deborah Martin.
A memorial celebrating Larry's life will be held Saturday, May 14, 2022 at 12:00 PM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Rd., Shreveport, Louisiana 71108.
