

DAUPHINEE, Donald Stephen, 82-Lantz, passed away suddenly, Friday, June 1, 2012 in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Head of St. Margaret’s Bay, he was a son of the late Harold and Mary (Romans) Dauphinee. Don was a longtime employee of Shaw Resources and was a bricklayer as well. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and gardening. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 59 years, Lillian, children, Stephen(Carolyn) Dauphinee, Beaver Bank; Dara(Perry) Rhoddy, Enfield; Donald Dauphinee, Nine Mile River; Tony Dauphinee, Shubenacadie East; Tim(Janice) Dauphinee , Carrolls Corner; 14 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; brothers Arthur(Joan) Dauphinee, Nelson(Flo) Dauphinee, Ralph(Ruth) Dauphinee; sisters, Esther Fancy, Edna(Gordon) DeMan, Ethel(Bill) DeMan, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son John and a son Derek Michael, in infancy. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie. A funeral will be held 2pm Wednesday, June 6, 2012 in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie, Lori Crocker, Diaconal Minister, officiating. Reception to follow in the funeral home reception area. The committal will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Milford. Memorial donations may be made to the Milford-Lantz United Church or the Lung Association.
