Harold William Munroe

MUNROE, Harold, William- 60, of Truro, Nova Scotia, passed away August 17, 2010 at the Colchester Regional Hospital. Born in Halifax he was the son of Donald and Anna (Purcell) Munroe. Harold was in the military from 1966 – 1992, retiring in 1992 as a Master Warrant Officer with the RCEME Corps. One of Harold’s proudest moments was participating in the Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo in the Gun Run. He loved antique cars, gardening and wood working. Harold also had a love of animals, especially “Mama” the cat. He is survived by son Robert Noel, Ontario, and daughter Kathy, Ontario; brothers Vaughn (Cheryl), Milford Station; Raymond (Kathy), Dartmouth; sisters Deborah (Robert) Cane, Hatchett Lake; Lynne Pilon, Timberlea; Karen Munroe (Steve Davison), Halifax; Sandra Munroe, Halifax. He is also survived by nephews Troy, Mark, Graham, Ian, Michael, and Austin; nieces Holly, Robyn, Andrea, Jennifer, Beth, Kristen, and Dawn He was predeceased by brother Graham Francis. There will be no service. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie.
