
DILLMAN, Myrlan Earl – 55, Cooks Brook, passed away November 14, 2010 in Dartmouth General Hospital, Dartmouth, surrounded by his family. Born in Middle Musquodoboit he was the son of Thomas Dillman, Truro and Thelma (Mitchell) Dillman, Shubenacadie. Myrlan worked in construction all of his life beginning with the Department of Highways followed by Shaw Brick, Dillman Enterprises, Dexter’s Construction, Howard Littles and the last place of employment was Terra Marine Environmental. He was a long time stock-car racing fan and a draft horse enthusiast who rarely missed going to the horse pulls. Besides his parents he is survived by sisters Diane Dillman, Enfield; Frances Hull (Brent), Chaswood; brothers Jamie, Shubenacadie, Michael, Truro; John, Quebec; half brother David Brown (Shirley), Lake Egmont; half sisters Cherry Dillman, Antrim; Evelyn Dillman, Truro; Helen Pinch(Chris), Nictaux, Annapolis County; nieces Melanie, Meaghan, Sara, Nitika; nephews Jay and Austin. He was predeceased by his grandparents. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie. No visitation by request. A memorial service will be held 2pm, Thursday in Gays River United Church, Gays River, Lori Crocker DM officiating. Family flowers only donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Gays River United Church Building Fund or a charity of your choice.
