BURRIS, Paul Cecil-54, Fall River, Paul passed away unexpectedly at his home in Fall River at the age of 54. Paul was the son of Iva Elaine (Kohler) Burris, Enfield and the late John McCurdy Burris. He will be remembered for his warm smile, his love of life, his big heart and sense of humor. Paul’s eyes sparkled when he was spending time with his children and family. He worked actively in his community where his true passion was to make Fall River a better place. Paul was known for his “MacGyver” like techniques, truly believing that “nothing was unfixable”. Following a 28 year career with Aliant/MT&T Paul worked as a professional driver for A World Class Limousine, and often spoke of how he enjoyed his conversations with all the different people he met. Throughout his life he could often be found watching the planes land and take off at the Halifax International Airport where he said he “felt free”. He is survived by Christine, Halifax and their children Theresa (Tyler) Bennicke, Halifax; Kathleen Burris, Halifax; John Burris, Greenwood; Brian Burris, Halifax; sister Pat (Paul) Comeau, Yarmouth; brothers Robert (Jean) Grande Prairie; and Graham (Martina Dymond) Calgary; nieces and nephews Logan, Laura, Ian, Shawn and Sarah. He was predeceased by his father. His death shouldn’t be looked at in sadness but rather as a celebration. Paul was happiest when people came together and socialized. There will be an interment attended by family at Hillcrest Cemetery in Upper Musquodoboit. A Celebration of Life will be held in his honor at 2pm, Friday in the C E Centre within the Riverview United Church, Elmsdale. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Family and friends may send condolences to the family at:ettingerfuneralhome.com
