

She was born on July 8, 1950 in Dorena, MO. to the late Joseph and Frances Wade McBride.
On April 22, 1978 in Sikeston, MO. she married Richard Lynn Cannon who preceded her in death on February 26, 2014.
She had been a bus driver for Sikeston Public Schools for seven years; she was a member of the Big Prairie Jaycee’s in Matthews, MO. Anita enjoyed watching her children over the years participate in dirt track racing. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by significant other, Dave Hart Sr. of the home in Matthews, MO.; four sons, Jeff (Ella) Long of Sikeston, MO., Jimmy (Wendy) Casey of Zalma, MO., Greg (Karrie) Casey of Sikeston, MO. and Chris Cannon of Matthews, MO.; one step-son, Todd Cannon of Jackson, MO.; two daughters, Missy Casey of Sikeston, MO. and Brandy (Ricky) Green of Sikeston, MO.; one step-daughter, Tammy (Hank) Crane of Sikeston, MO.; two brothers, Greg (Debbie) McBride of Bethpage, TN. and Art (Vivian) McBride of Dade City, FL.; two sisters, Cathy (Jim) Burch of Matthews, MO. and Rosie McBride of Gatewood, MO.; twenty-four grandchildren, Hallie, Jeffery, Jessie, Timmy, Dallan, Mayson, Nichole, Dalton, Austin, Tyler, Riley, Kyle, Aaron, Lauren, Alyssa, Luke, Ashton, Wendi, Amber, Megan, Stormy, Samantha, James and Avrie; thirteen great-grandchildren, Koda, Bryce, Roselyn, Lexi, Zeke, Sofia, Gauge, Winston, Nick, Nichole, Elizabeth, Lilly, Savannah as well as a great-grandbaby due in November and many nieces and nephews and her two companions, Boo and Sassy.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 29, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 12:00 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, MO. Bro. Larry Kirby, pastor at Abundant Grace Church in Bertrand, MO., officiating.
Pallbearers will be Jeffery, Timmy, Dallan, Mayson, Austin, Tyler, Riley, Aaron, Luke and Ashton.
Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston, MO.
