
Anna Lee Harr, 95, of Sikeston, died May 12, 2011 at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. Born July 2, 1915 in Lamar, AR, to the late James E. Woodward and Vanda Viola Harris Woodward Holland, she graduated from high school in Lamar. She was baptized into the Church of Christ in Lamar at the age of seventeen, and was a longtime member of the Shady Acres Church of Christ in Sikeston. During WWII she worked at the defense plant in Little Rock, AR, and for the Kaiser Shipyard in Richmond, CA. She later worked for the International Shoe Factory in Sikeston for 30 years until its closing, and then worked for 24 years as a private duty in-home nurse until the age of 83. She nurtured those she loved throughout her life, assisting in the care of her seven younger siblings when she was a child, and then later caring for her own children. She loved reading books and taking long walks, and always enjoyed the company of others.
She was first married to Roy Wesley Faucett, who preceded her in death. On November 1, 1952 in Piggott, AR, she married Frank Edward Harr, who preceded her in death on January 5, 1982.
Also preceding her in death were her beloved stepfather, Tom Holland; four brothers, Lawrence “Jake” Woodward, Joe Holland, William Holland and George Holland; and three sisters, Syble Moore, Jean Taylor and Jeanetta Monan.
Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, John and Delores “Bobbie” Faucett of Cupertino, CA; one daughter and son-in-law, Royce Ann and Thomas Alcott of Sikeston; six grandchildren, John Faucett II of San Francisco, CA, Lee Alcott of Sikeston, Bryan Faucett of Cupertino, Kimberley Dockin of San Jose, CA, Karen Alcott of Sikeston, and Angela Peard of Cupertino; and seven great grandchildren, Isabella Dockin of San Jose, Lily Faucett of San Francisco, Zoe Alcott of Sikeston, John Faucett III of San Francisco, Sophia Dockin of San Jose, and Mason Peard and Lucas Peard, both of Cupertino.
Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00pm on Sunday, May 15, at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, where services will be held on Monday at 2:00pm, with Pat Hogan and Johnny Hester of the Shady Acres Church of Christ officiating.
Burial will follow at the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
