Barbara Kaye Britt

On February 10, 1962, in Sikeston, MO she was born to the late Donnie and Mary Zook Marcum.

On August 8, 1989, in New Madrid, MO she married Harold Leroy Britt who survives of the home.

Barbara for the last thirty years was a foster parent for the Missouri Foster Children’s Association. She had taken in, loved and cared for many during that time in which many of them still think of her as their own mom.

Barbara is survived by her husband Harold; one daughter, Tabitha (Chuck) Chesmore of Sikeston, MO; two sons, William (Chelsea) Brown Jr. of Sikeston, MO and Keith (Monica) Marino of Piedmont, MO; two brothers, Steve Marcum of Wappapello, MO and Brad Marcum of Sikeston, MO; thirteen grandchildren, Brett (Mailene) Brown, Braden (Gwendolyn) Brown, Dawson (Hannah) Brown, Ethan (Abby) Brown, Frankie Brown III, Christian Brown, Addyson Brown, Easton Brown, Mikaela Chesmore, Harley Chesmore, Farrah Marino, Tyren Marino, Jade Marino; three great-grandchildren, Myles Brown, Amelia Brown, and Hudson Brown.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. with Tim Schultz, Pastor of Little Brushy Baptist Church in Wappapello, MO, officiating.

Interment will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery in Dogwood, MO.

Pallbearers will be: Braden Brown, Dawson Brown, Keith Moreno, Brett Brown, Ethan Brown, and Frankie Brown III.

Honorary Pallbearer will be her son-in-law Chuck Chesmore.
