Billie "Bill" Lawson

He was born on July 3, 1948 in Fort Benning, GA. to the late Billie and Maria Egidi Lawson Sr.

He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sikeston, MO.

Bill had served as the Chief Juvenile Officer for Scott and Mississippi Counties; he retired in 2014 after thirty-two years of service.

He helped to establish the soccer program at Sikeston High School as well as the youth soccer program in which he was very active as a coach and as a referee.

On June 18, 1987 in Sikeston, MO. he married Lisa Couch Lawson who survives of the home in Sikeston, MO.

Other survivors include one son, Andrew (Marcie) Lawson of Sikeston, MO.; one daughter Stephanie Lawson of St. Louis, MO. and two grandchildren, Charlie and Olivia Lawson.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until time of rosary service at 7:00 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, MO. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sikeston, MO.

A private burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston, MO.
