Bobby Gene Causey, 79, of Sikeston, died December 14, 2011 at the Clearview Nursing Center in Sikeston. Born February 28, 1932, in Malden, MO, to the late Bertis and Della Jones Causey, he was a farmer and rural mail carrier. He was of the Baptist belief.
Survivors include: one brother and sister-in-law, Billy J. and Patricia Causey of Sikeston; one brother-in-law, Eric Smith of Murphysboro, TN; six nieces, Barbara Crick, Debbie Norton, Marilyn Chana, Glenda McNair, Nola Thomson and Brenda Hester; two nephews, Jerry Brown and Gene Causey; and two very good friends, Al Sharp and Betty Sharp.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Margaret Causey, Helen Summers and Deloris Smith; and two brothers, Ralph Causey and Marvin Causey.
Graveside services will be held Friday, December 16, at 2:00pm at the Essex Cemetery, with the Rev. Larry Davis, pastor of Trinity Gospel Church in Sikeston, officiating.
