

Brad was born August 21, 1954, in Canton, South Dakota to the late Dr. Theodore and Margaret Westergren Angelos. He graduated from Canton High School in 1972 and went on to study Mathematics and Chemistry at University of South Dakota in Vermillion. He was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, the prestigious academic honors society, and graduated with Cum Laude honors in 1976. Following his undergraduate degree, Brad continued his education at Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska, earning his Medical Doctorate Degree in 1980.
Dr. Angelos completed an Internal Medicine residency and fellowship in Nephrology at the University of Kentucky in Lexington and a fellowship in Nephrology at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. He was board certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. Dr. Angelos has served the communities of Southeast Missouri for over 35 years. He began practicing nephrology at Ferguson Medical Group in 1986 and was Medical Director of the dialysis center of Missouri Delta Medical Center before moving to the Emergency Room at Missouri Delta Medical Center where he practiced for 22 years. In 2014 he began working for the Department of Veterans Administration Outpatient Clinic in Sikeston, Missouri, where he practiced until his retirement in 2021.
In 1979, while at the University of Kentucky Hospital, he met a nurse who would become the love of his life. Brad and Evelyn Wolff-Angelos married on August 21, 1982 and expanded their family to raise two daughters, Allyson and Adrienne.
Brad gave his fullest efforts to everything he pursued. When he began bass fishing, he made his own fishing rod. When he became interested in fly fishing, he learned to tie expert level flies. He was an avid cyclist, averaging 4,000 - 5,000 miles/year, and rode in RAGBRAI - an annual 450 mile ride across Iowa with 15,000 other enthusiasts - completing the ride four times in his 60's. Brad loved music and collected vinyls as the ultimate lossless format of recorded music.
Brad is survived by his wife Evelyn of the home, daughters Allyson (Joseph) Frandsen of St Louis, MO, Adrienne (Tommy) Burrows of Superior, Colorado, his sisters Melanie Angelos of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Dr. Melissa (Jay) Sveen, of Lincoln, Nebraska, and his brother Dr. Brock (Amy) Angelos of Lincoln, Nebraska.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, November 6, 2022 at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, MO. Funeral service will be held at First United Methodist Church on Monday, November 7, 2022 at 12 p.m. with Jennifer Moxley, Pastor of First United Methodist Church in Sikeston, MO., officiating.
The family suggests that Memorial donations be made to: Pedal the Cause - a non-profit that funds cancer research at Siteman Cancer Center and Siteman Kids, in St. Louis, that Brad supported during his life; First United Methodist Church of Sikeston; Missouri Delta Medical Center, Sikeston, Missouri.
