Clyde Lee Launius

He was born on April 10, 1930 in Bloomfield, MO. to the late Clyde and Jottie Williams Launius.

On December 17, 1948 in Sikeston, MO. he married Edith Morris Launius who preceded him in death on May 30, 2013.

He was a member of Community Church of the Nazarene in Sikeston, MO. where he was a devout Sunday school teacher for many years. He retired as Head Buyer from Fleming Corp., formerly Malone and Hyde, in 1992 after thirty-six years of service.

He is survived by two sons, Mark (Judy) Launius of Sikeston, MO. and Chris (Rachel) Launius of Overland Park, KS.; two daughters, Debra (Lester) Wright of Sikeston, MO. and Cheryl (Dave) Stanfield of Franklin, TN.; eleven grandchildren, Matthew Wright, Kristin Dodds, Lindsey Peters, Adam Launius, Kelly Launius, Nate Launius, Danielle Summers, Dustin Stanfield, D.J. Stanfield, Lexie Buchanan and Kassie Stanfield and fifteen great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and his wife he was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl Launius and Marvin Launius and one sister, Ruth Graham.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 12:00 p.m. at Community Church of the Nazarene in Sikeston, MO. with Georg Karl, Pastor of Tanner Street Church of God, officiating.

Interment will be held on Monday, January 30, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield MO. with military honors.
