David Keith Lape

David Keith Lape, 56 of Sikeston died June 22 2011 at his home. He was born on October 29, 1954 in Flint, MI to DK and Cozette Knight Lape. He was a self employeed farmer, was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Sikeston, and a member of the Sikeston Jaycees. He also loved music, hunting, antiques and civil war history. He had been married to Sally Boyer Lape who survives.

He is also survived by two sons, Cooper and Riley Lape of Sikeston; one daughter, Katie Lape of Sikeston; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Danny and Sally Lape, Terry and Sandy Lape and Ken and Mary Lape all of Sikeston; seven nieces and nephews, Deke Lape, Carrie Lape, Clay Lape, Ashleigh Lape, Kenleigh Lape, Katherine Lape and Megan Boyer-Straton also survive.

Visitation will be on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at the First United Methodist Church in Sikeston from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 1:00pm. The Rev Dr. Geoff Posegate will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston. Pallbearers will be Phil DeWitt, David Hough, David Alexander, Mike Bohannon, Rik LaPlant, David Hahs and Mike Marshall. Honorary Pallbearers are Danny Lape, Terry Lape, Ken Lape, Deke Lape, Clay Lape, James Bain, Carl Bassinger, Chuck Carmack III, John Crouthers, Jake Curtis, Gerald DeWitt, Doug Griffin, Steve Lambert, Jonathan Maloyed and Ed Pike.
