Edward Francis Corbett, 82, of Sikeston, died August 25, 2014, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center. Born August 12, 1932, in Stoughton, Mass., to the late Cornelius and Mary Nally Corbett, he served in the U.S. Navy. He was later employed as an engineer for Southwestern Bell/AT&T, retiring after over twenty years of service, and was a member of the St. Francis Catholic Church in Sikeston. He married Maritta Rodrigues, who survives of the home.
He is also survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Neil and Elizabeth Corbett of Orlando, Fla.; and one daughter, Courtney Corbett of St. Louis.
He was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. until time of the memorial service at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, September 2, at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Patrick of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, officiating.
