Helen Margaret Hewitt

Born January 1, 1926, in Dexter Mo., to the late Paul DeArman and Dora McDaniel Gaines. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Morehouse, she was a member of the Eastern Star of Sikeston. She had worked at Britts Department Store in Sikeston until her retirement.

On August 3, 1945, in Morehouse Mo., she married James C. Hewitt, who preceded her in death on November 3, 1998.

Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Pam Hewitt of Holly Springs, North Carolina; one daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Jimmie Chadd of Sikeston Mo.; one daughter-in-law, Cynthia Hewitt of Sikeston, Mo.; one sister, Jenny Odgen of Jackson Mo.; six grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one son James Lee Hewitt; one grandson, Aaron Hewitt; three brothers, J.C. DeArmon, Carol Gaines, Gene Gaines; three sisters, Juanita Payne, Ruth Flannery and Maxine Dalton.

Visitation will be held Thursday November 17, 2016, from 5pm until 8pm at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Friday November 18, 2016 at 10am, at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, with Bro. Randy Conn, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Morehouse, officiating.

Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston, Mo.
