James Howard Giddens, age 45, of Benton, died October 10, 2015, at his home. Born July 18, 1970, in St. Louis, to Mamie Bates and the late Ted Bates, he was a truck driver. On December 27, 2007, in Benton, he married Melissa Potts, who survives of the home.
Additional survivors include: two daughters, Sarah Giddens of Benton and Susan Giddens of Paducah, Ky.; three stepsons, Travis Haley, Shane Haley and Aaron Haley, all of Sikeston; one stepdaughter, Danielle Haley of Sikeston; one brother, Donald Giddens of Sikeston; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 12 noon on Wednesday, October 14, at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Victor Marshall, officiating.
Interment will follow in the Blodgett Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Scott Jarvis, Shane Haley, Tom McGowan, Bradley Miller, Trent Miller and Thomas Miller.
