James "J.R." Lee Reece

He was born on January 3, 1938 in Gideon, MO. son of the late Lee and Roxada Shimpson Reece.

On December 18, 1982 in Sikeston, MO. he married Connie Chapman Reece who survives of the home.

He was a member of Trinity Gospel Church here in Sikeston, MO.

Survivors include two sons, Joel Reece of California and James Lee Reece of Washington State; and one sister Ann Garrison of Desloge, MO.; nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by three brothers and six sisters, one son and one grandson.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, MO. from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. with Pastors Sidney Watson of Trinity Gospel Church in Sikeston, MO. and Larry Lacey, officiating.

Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston, MO.

Pallbearers will be: Justin Reece, Luke Reece, Joe Garrison, Jacob Garrison, Doug Copeland, and Allen Lancaster.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Carl Bogle and Mr. Bixler.
