John Scarbrough

He was born on March 23, 1931 in Blodgett, MO. to the late William and Fanny Adams Scarbrough.

On July 26, 1956 he married Shelby Sitz Scarbrough who preceded him in death on November 12, 2000.

He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Sikeston, MO.

He served in the United States Army and later retired from the United States Postal Service in 1986 after thirty-three years of service.

He is survived by three daughters and three sons-in-law, Marsha (Mike) Riney of Sikeston, MO., Michele (Alan) Westfall of Ellisville, MO. and Melinda (Todd) Priebe of Cape Girardeau, MO.; two grandchildren, Zach (Krista) Westfall of Eureka, MO. and Ben (Melia) Westfall of Mobile, AL.

In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack Scarbrough and Bill Scarbrough; one sister, Bessie Scarbrough.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 12:00 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, MO. Bro. Jerry Adams, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, MO. with military Honors.

Pallbearers will be Mike Riney, Todd Priebe, Alan Westfall, Zach Westfall, Ben Westfall and Greg Sitz.

Honorary pallbearers will be John Southern and Carl Bogle.
