

Kenneth Wayne Hatley, 64, of Rhome, TX, formerly of Sikeston, died October 27, 2011 at the Wise Regional Hospital in Decatur, TX. Born November 4, 1946, in Cape Girardeau, to Maggie Louise Hill Hatley who survives of Sikeston and the late Atlas Hatley, Jr., he was a self-employed residential contractor. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, and was awarded the Purple Heart. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Decatur. On November 16, 1979, in Paducah, KY, he married Linda Kay Leek, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Crystal and Steve Jones of Mayfield, KY; one brother and sister-in-law, Glenn Dale and Janet Hatley of Sikeston; one sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Cecil Carter of Sikeston; and four grandchildren: Katie, Natalie, Anna and Nathaniel.
Visitation is scheduled from 5:00-8:00pm Thursday at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, where services will be held Friday at 10:30am, with Pat Hogan, minister of the Shady Acres Church of Christ of Sikeston, officiating, assisted by Steve Jones of Mayfield, KY.
Burial will follow at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston, with full military honors provided by the Missouri Military Honor Guard Unit. Pallbearers will be: Steve Jones, Bill Littleton, James McGee, Edsel Wylie, Don Moore, Chester Bell and Elbert Hubbard.
