Born on December 12, 1937, to his parents Hubert and Del Marie (Greene) Wasson, he grew up in the small town of Sikeston, MO. He was a member of the Sikeston First Church of the Nazarene, where he met his wife, Ruth Ann Atkinson, and they were married at the church in 1964. They later moved to Virginia Beach, VA, and joined Kempsville Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Wasson; son, Kenneth Darrell Wasson, Jr. (Darlene); and two grandchildren, Ryan and Brandon Wasson, of Virginia Beach, VA.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024, from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, MO.
Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston, MO.
