Laura Rosetta Campbell

Laura Rosetta Campbell, 78, formerly of Sikeston, Miner and Portageville, died May 14, 2014, at her home in Huntsville, Ala. Born November 28, 1935, in Vanduser, to the late Lee and Dora Strickland Walker, she was a homemaker. On October 30, 1949, she married Jackie Joe Campbell, who preceded her in death on February 22, 1997.

Also preceding her in death were one half-brother and one half-sister.

Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Gerald “Jay” and Carla Campbell of Huntsville, Ala.; and two grandchildren, Christopher Campbell and Blake Campbell, both of Huntsville.

Visitation will be held from 11a.m. until 1:45p.m. Tuesday, May 20, at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel.

A graveside service will follow at 2p.m. at the Garden of Memories Cemetery, with Johnny Hester, minister of the Shady Acres Church of Christ in Sikeston, officiating.

Pallbearers will be: Christopher Campbell, Blake Campbell, Kent Campbell, Steve Howell, Bart Grant and James McClellan.
