

Ernest “Randy” Pointer, age 57, died Sunday, July 20, 2014, at his home in Matthews. Born May 4, 1957, in Sikeston, to the late Ernest and Charlene Eaton Pointer, he was employed as a receiving manager for Monsanto. He was a member of the Big Prairie Jaycees and coached Little League T-ball and baseball in Matthews. He was of the Assembly of God belief. On March 21, 1975, he married Tricia Johnson, who survives of the home.
In addition to his wife, survivors include two sons, Aaron Pointer and Blake Pointer, both of Matthews; and one sister and brother-in-law, Jeannie and Gene Malloy of Sikeston. He is also survived by one grandson, Alex Pointer.
Visitation will be held from 5p.m. – 8p.m. Wednesday, July 23, at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted at 10a.m. Thursday, July 24, in the Nunnelee Chapel, with Rev. Larry Griffin, Rev. John Stepp and Rev. Mike Cartwright, officiating.
Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Charles McCann, Ray Uthoff, Mike Metros, Reggie Harden, Bobby Malloy, Mike Williamson and Brady Stobaugh.
