William Helms III, 73, of Sikeston, died June 25, 2014, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center. Born July 9, 1940, in New Madrid, to the late William and Delcie Phegley Helms Jr., he was employed by Hart's Bakery for many years. He attended the Matthews Missionary Baptist Church and later the Miner Baptist Church.
Survivors include: one sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Michael Riley of New Madrid; and three grandchildren, Michael Britton, Christopher Britton and Blain Britton. Also surviving are two precious nephews, Chance and Trace Wheetley.
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 30, at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Chris Polk, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
