Mo, as he was affectionately referred to, was born on February 14th, 1947, in Guyana. In his young adult years, he followed his brothers to the United States, in Washington D.C., where he soon called home. In 1970 he met Anna, the love of his life. They were married on August 19th, 1973, and celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary earlier this year. Adil & Anna would go on to have a daughter, Fateema, a son, Michael, and would welcome their only grandson, Luke, in 1995. Mo’s devotion to his family and firm belief in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was a true inspiration. He was selfless, caring, and funny, but Mo was also a fighter. In 2019, doctors told him he had 3 months to live, but the Lord had other plans and blessed us with Mo for another four years. Mo worked, in service, as a cab driver and sacrificed his time working countless days and hours to take care of and provide for his family. Mo dedicated his life to being a Man of God, the best Husband, Father, and Grandfather he could be for his family. His love and dedication live on through his family, friends and all who knew him. He and his family are truly blessed by God and now Mo will watch over them from Heaven. As Mo often found hope and comfort in his favorite scripture, he would want to leave it with us now, “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose.” – Romans 8:28.
Services will be held at Hines-Rinaldi funeral home in Silver Spring Md on December 20, 2023 at 10:30am.
