Alice Augusta Arndt

Alice Augusta Arndt, 96 of Silver Spring, Maryland passed away peacefully on Friday, May 23, 2025 while at Brooke Grove Nursing Center. Alice was born on March 20, 1929 in East St. Louis, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Albert Eugene Arndt, parents Scott and Meta Neilson, and brother John Edgar Neilson. She is survived by her one daughter Carolyn Arndt, and two sons James “Jim” Arndt (Marjorie) and Jerrold “Jerry” Arndt (Tamara), and grandchildren Sarah Zoch (Dylan), Kaitlyn “Katie” Arndt, and Joshua “Josh” Arndt.

Alice was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, crafting, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a strong, supportive woman who always put her family members first. For several years, she volunteered many hours at The Lutheran Church of St. Andrew's Craft Ministry, where she could share her crafting skills to create items that benefited others and where she made several dear friends.

Visitation will be at Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home, 11800 New Hampshire Avenue, Silver Spring, Maryland on Thursday, June 5, 2025 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, Funeral Service at 12:00pm. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 13801 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, Maryland.
