

Andres Siy Ho born on March 17, 1937 of Chinese descent, is the 5th of 9 siblings residing in Philippines. He is one of six brothers and three sisters, of which he and a younger brother immigrated to the U.S. to pursue their passion in education in teaching. Andres earned a Masters degree in Mathematics from the University of Maryland College Park where he found his new residence. In his later years, he also earned another Masters Degree in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins University. His girlfriend, Francisca Lee Ho, from the Philippines followed him to America while he was studying in UMD and had their first born child, Samuel Lee Ho, on September 20, 1968. He and his wife had their second child, Steve Lee Ho, born on February 27, 1975. Andres had a life long career as a professor for Capitol College in the areas of computer programming and engineering subjects until he retired in 2012. He helped many students achieve their degree in Engineering to which they have successful careers in major corporations and federal government. His wife had a life long career as a waitress for a Chinese restaurant named Good Earth Restaurant in New Carrollton Maryland where both Andres and later both their sons worked together part time. Andres was an all around Do-it-Yourself handyman, fixing building things like roof repair installation, electrical and electronic repair, auto mechanic repair, wood working, etc etc. There was nothing that he could not do and was a devoted hard working man for his family. He loved his wife and children and have fulfilled their dreams by supporting their wishes. From weekly trips to Atlantic City for his wife to funding his older son's college education and new car purchase, and unlimited support and encouragement of his younger son's interest in wood working, Andres support and belief in his family is his way to show his affection and belief of opportunities his family have interest in. His wife deceased on November 6, 2009 to which he continued to support and love his two sons and his passion of teaching. Upon developing an illness in 2011, Andres lived a very happy, simple, and content lifestyle. He and his son Steve were inseparable and always recognizable in the community. In the end, he passed away after a long illness on Saturday, December 13 2025 at 12:19pm. Andres and his wife Francisca is survived by both sons, Sam and Steve, daughter-in-law Maria Blanca, and his grandchildren, Mark, Kelly-Anne, Andrew, and their spouses Gladis (Mark) and Sean (Kelly-Anne), and six great grandchildren, Jorge and Mark Jr. (Mark & Gladis), Emily-Anne Marie, Kylie Sofia, Bennett Touma, Brooks Owen (Sean & Kelly-Anne). He may rest in peace that his and his wife's legacy will continue in memory and spirit. Through his stewardship in raising his children, his values are the anchor and guiding light that will be lived and passed on for many more generations to come.
