Andrew Alexander Mijango was born to Jose Francisco Mijango and Marisol Ortiz Nunez Mijango on November 18th, 1997. Andrew’s radiant smile lit up any room he entered, his laugh inviting all those who heard it into the shining warmth of his heart; wherever Andrew went, his kindness and generosity followed. Andrew would go to the ends of the earth for those he loved, and anyone who knew his name would do the same in return.
Andrew enjoyed going to the beach, swing dancing, and building models for Warhammer and Kingdom Death. He loved playing video games, table-top role-playing games, and poker, with his friends and siblings. He loved attending art shows, renaissance fairs, and conventions with his loved ones. More than anything, Andrew loved doting on his wife, cat, and family, who will love him dearly forever.
Andrew passed away on May 15th, 2025, at the age of 27, and is survived by his wife, Chloe Dickinson Mijango; his parents, Jose Francisco Mijango and Marisol Ortiz-Nuñez Mijango; his siblings, Emmanuel Ortiz-Nuñez Mijango, Antonella Ortiz-Nuñez Mijango, and Carmen Mijango; his paternal grandmother Dolores Mijango; his maternal grandparents Aurea Ortiz-Nuñez and Angel M. Ortiz; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins, on both paternal and maternal sides.
Friends and family will be received for Andrew’s Celebration of Life on Saturday, May 31st, 2025, from 2pm - 5pm, at the Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home located at 11800 New Hampshire Ave, Silver Spring MD, 20904.
