Yes, we remember him fondly.  Not that we saw each other often, but we knew he was very capable of making friends easily.  He was a pleasant listener to both of us.  Thank you giving us a chance at remembrance.

Yes, it's been a while.  Not certain you even remember us--Roberta Waxman-Lenz's parents.  We do remember both of you with fond memories of a loving, friendly, up-beat couple.  We were both sorry to hear about Andy's passing.  We know that those loving memories will stay with you forever.

Wendy, Sam and family - we were shocked and saddened to hear (in the Agudas newsletter) of Andy's untimely passing.  It has been many years since the JDS days, but we remember him as a kind and gentle person with a beautiful voice and a big heart. I have worked/supported Andy at work for just a short time (almost a year), yet in this short time I can say I can tell that he was a gentle giant. Also very quiet unless needed to speak. And in meetings he was very knowledgeable and you can tell very much invested in what he was doing. He didn't seek too much help - preferred doing things on his own and you could tell didn't care to burden others. I am that way myself, so that is something I admired. It was always sweet to see his reaction if I could unexpectedly help him and he'd be very appreciative. We had to order lunch one day and he wanted a turkey sandwich on sourdough bread and they had ran out of sourdough and so I came over while he was in a meeting and flagged a sticky note at the door with choices of alternative bread choices and he smiled and told me I didn't have to do that but still let me know what alternative worked best. A very random memory - but it was a moment I felt I got to connect with him a bit and see him beyond the professional silent lense, and it has stuck in my head. I've never heard a bad word about him and I send my love and support to the family. I pray for each of your strength, comfort, unity, and desire to live out life happily beyond this change and that you all can anchor to the many great memories of your time together whenever you're feeling down.

My heart aches and my  soul is full of sorrow with the news of Andy’s passing. I remember Andy fondly as jolly, so smart, full of warmth, twinkle in his eyes and embracing life with positivity. He was among the unforgettable friends and when you two married and made such a beautiful family, it was truly a match made in heaven.

My heartfelt condolences to all of Andy's family. He was a classmate of mine at Fletcher and I found him to be one of the most friendly, positive, bright people I have ever known. 

I ran into him at Williams College four years ago when we were both visiting our children and we shared a plane ride from Albany to DC. I was very grateful to have had the chance to catch up and found him to be just as special a person as I remembered.
