Anne Bruner Gunderson died Saturday, 18 January 2025 in Silver Spring Maryland. Anne was born on 13 March 1937 in South Bend, Indiana and was immediately adopted by Willis Howard and Florence (Douglass) Bruner. She was raised as an only child in a loving home by two truly wonderful parents. She received an associate degree from Iowa State University. She met Carl Gunderson at the First Presbyterian Church of South Bend, where they would later marry on 7 September 1957. Carl and Anne had three children: Sarah, Carl II, and Katharine. In 2000, Anne met the families of her biological parents Leland Paul Pearson and Helen Elizabeth Amick. Anne was a member of the Coleville Presbyterian Church, Daughters of the American Revolution, and several creative arts groups. Among other things, she enjoyed knitting, painting, lace making, reading, basset hounds, and watching football. She was a kind and generous person.
Anne is survived by her husband Carl Gunderson; her children Sarah Gunderson, Carl Gunderson and wife Lisa, and Katharine Watson and husband Jason; her grandchildren Erik Gunderson, Kelsey Rutledge and husband Seth, Kristie Gunderson, and Kyle Watson; her great-granddaughters Raegan, Adeline, Morgan and Annie Rutledge.
