On Sunday, December 31, 2023, Aurora G. "Wawa" Mata, born in Laredo, TX, resident of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved wife of the late Jose Mata, Jr; mother of Joe Mata (Lynne) and Elsie McGuire (John); grandmother of Joey Mata, Jennifer McGuire, Kristin Ruehl and Lisa Dominguez; also survived by nine great-grandchildren. The caregivers of Montgomery Hospice are deserving of the family’s special thanks. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 12, 2024 at Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home, 11800 New Hampshire Avenue, Silver Spring, MD from 4 pm – 8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at St. Camillus Church, 1600 St. Camillus Way, Silver Spring, MD at 12 noon. Interment in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
