She was born on February 21, 1927 in Bamberg, Germany, daughter of the late George and Margareta Gehringer.
Barbara was the loving mother of George T. (Cathy) Story, Cathie L. (Paul) Cocuzza and Patricia J. Story; the cherished grandmother of Caitlin Story and Angela Cocuzza (Jonathan) and dear sister of Hilda (William) Korreis.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Kennion Shelton Story and her siblings; Hans Gehringer, Phillip Gehringer, Elsa Zandt, Alfred Gehringer, Katharina Ertel and Johann Hans Gehringer.
