Berta Josefa Guadamuz Sanchez

Berta Josefa Guadamuz Sanchez passed away on May 12, 2025 in Silver Spring, Maryland. She was born on March 23, 1935 in Bluefields, Nicaragua. She is preceded in death by her mother, Venicia Sanchez Pallavacini and her father, Gustavo Guadamuz. She is also preceded in death by her son, Jose Manuel Rodriguez, her son, Ezequiel de Jesus Davila, her grandson, Edwin Isaac Rodriguez, her granddaughter, Berta Josefa Rodriguez, her son, Julio Cesar Rodriguez, her brother, Gustavo Guadamuz, and her sister, Danelia Guadamuz. She is survived by her daughters Blanca Iris Amador, Maria del Socorro Rodriguez, Maria Danelia Saavedra, and sons Nelson Antonio Rodriguez, Manuel Salvador Rodriguez, and Moises Ivan Rodriguez. She is also survived by her brother Ramiro Mendoza and her sister Rosalia Mendoza. Berta Josefa leaves behind many grandchildren and great-grandchildren that had the privilege to know her. Her memory will be cherished by her family.

Berta enjoyed cooking almibar (jam) during the Holy week, atolillo for Noche Buena (the evening before Christmas) and chocolate drink. One fond memory is her making nacatamales for Christmas in 1990. Berta also enjoyed reading the Bible and singing hymns. She had a lovely voice. Now she will be singing with the angels.

A visitation and the funeral service for Berta will be held Thursday, May 22, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Canaan Christian Church, 2100 University Blvd W, Wheaton-Glenmont, MD 20902. A graveside service will occur Friday, May 23, 2025 at 12:00 PM at Norbeck Memorial Park, 16225 Batchellors Forest Rd, Olney, MD 20832.

También le sobreviven su hermano Ramiro Mendoza y su hermana Rosalía Mendoza. Berta Josefa deja muchos nietos y bisnietos que tuvieron el privilegio de conocerla. Su memoria será apreciada por su familia.

A Berta le encantaba cocinar almíbar (mermelada) durante Semana Santa, atolillo para la Nochebuena y chocolate. Un buen recuerdo es cuando preparaba nacatamales para la Navidad de 1990. A Berta también le encantaba leer la Biblia y cantar himnos. Tenía una voz preciosa. Ahora cantará con los ángeles.
