Daniel Gerson

Danny was a leap year baby, born on February 29, 1996. They graduated from James H. Blake High School in 2014. Danny was employed at Brookside Gardens for the past few years as cashier at its gift shop.

Danny was preceded in death in 2011 by their mother, Teresa A. Radoane Gerson. Danny is survived by their adoptive mother, Donyea J. Sungenis, who cared for Danny after their mother's death; father, James William Gerson; brother, Dylan Nathaniel Gerson; sister, Marleigh Quinn Pinkston; Uncle, Edward L. Gerson; Aunt, Jeanie Anderson; and numerous cousins.

Danny was a gentle giant, always a mischievous twinkle in their eyes and smile on their face. They loved cheese and pickles all their life, and enjoyed making pickles and gifting them to family and friends, particularly at Christmastime. Danny was a devout music fan, and particularly liked rock Indy bands such as Radiohead and Modest Mouse. They also enjoyed drawing with pencil, following in the footsteps of their artist grandmother, Lieta Gerson, who passed away earlier this year.

We, family and friends, are fortunate to have had Danny in our lives. We will sorely miss Danny.
