Dr Jacques was stationed in Germany and served with my Father Bob Hardy.  He was respected by all who knew him.  My dad kept in contact with Dr. Jacques and we visited with him and his family in the Baltimore  area in in the 70 s. Rest In Peace. Robert G. Hardy,Jr

My mother, Evie Doepke, worked for Jaques, Saunders and Hirata for years in their old Towson office.  I was always popping in for one thing or another and got to know all of the doctors there.   My brother and I were invited to cookouts at the bayfront home and we had a ball.  They treated my mother like a queen and she so loved working for them till her passing in 91.  
Something told me to look up Dr Jaques and I am so sorry to hear of his passing,   My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.  He will always be a great man!

It was a privilege, on behalf of Montgomery Hospice,  to honor and thank Darrell last week for his military service . I was so impressed by the family turnout and by  David's recap of his father's experiences.

To the Jaques Family,
As a young Army nurse, just getting my feet wet in Vietnam, Darrell, as my commanding officer, was a mentor and an officer I deeply admired and respected.  Later, Darrell and Kathy opened their home and hearts to Tom, me, and our children offering friendship, guidance, and advice.  Darrell even performed surgery on our youngest daughter, Erin.  We spent many wonderful moments with them in their various homes, including our memorable Vietnam reunions with Andy and Terry Mitchell, Joan and Frank Sell, and all our children in Pasadena, Md.
Darrell, you will be dearly missed.  Thank you for always being there for me and for my family.

I had the privilege of working with Dr Jacques at GBMC for many years. He was a powerful force in the OR operating on patients with head and neck cancers.

We met Dr. Jaques as he led us on a tour of the USNS Comfort 20 plus years ago.  My husband and I remember that day and Dr. Jaques fondly, especially for the stories he told of his days as an Army doctor. Coincidentally he was my mother's doctor and took wonderful care of her.  May your memories sustain and comfort you.

Colonel, you were more than an Army doctor and surgeon to us. You were our Savior. All those years ago you saved Andy's life with an operation that you only read about. Your incredible act allowed Andy to live a beautiful life for many, many years.  Later on in his life, you saved him again when he found he had throat cancer.  You were amazing and our hero's hero.

We will miss you, Colonel. You and Andy are together again. We salute you both.
