Doris Dare Maslousky passed away on June 25 at her home. She was born on July 27, 1934, in Courtdale, PA to William and Elsie (Heussner) Dare. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, William M. Dare. Doris is survived by her husband of 66 years, Paul E. Maslousky and six children: David (Trish Willis), Susan (Sakellarios Vouvalis), Diane (Richard Finnblade), Janet (Kevin Hill), Carol (John Corkill), and Donna (Daniel Policelli). She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, sisters and brother-in-law, nephews, nieces, and other relatives.
Doris moved to the Washington DC area in 1957 after marrying Paul. They eventually settled in the suburbs as their family grew. She was a lifelong member of the Good Shepard United Methodist Church in Silver Spring, MD. She maintained strong ties to family and friends from the Wilkes-Barre, PA area her entire adult life. Doris’ passions were spending time with her family, music, and playing the piano.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 7, 2023, from 9:30-10:30 am at Hines-Rinaldi Silver Spring with a Chapel Service immediately following at 10:30 am.
