Randy, I'm so sorry to learn of Eunice's passing. She was a dear sweet person. I met her through the JUGS and DC Arc so many years ago.  And she supported me as a customer for years.  Blessings to you and your family. 


Nana Blue as we lovingly called her was one of those rare people who, as she journeyed through life, she left her footprints wherever she went. Footprints of kindness and love for us all (Robin, Papa Blue, Emo, Deb, Sharde and E). She left us footprints of courage and compassion. She was sassy, but oh so classy. She welcomed my entire family into her lovely arms and she never once made us feel like in-laws. I look back and I can clearly see the trail she left behind. A trail of bright hope that invites us all to follow. Nana Blue, I love you dearly and I will miss you. Papa Blue we will continue to watch over and protect you, Emo, and Deb.

Oh, Randy!!   We are so very sorry to hear about Eunice passing.  We thought the world of her, and of you, and were so happy to live next to you for so many years. Emerson, I was so sorry to hear about the passing of your mother, Robin your mother-in-law and Sharde and E your grandmother.  She was a lovely woman and my mother thought highly of her.  You know they worked together at the Census Bureau.  I also got a chance to enjoy her company at a couple of fashion shows.  I know the memories you shared will help you through this difficult time. Eunice and I became friends in the late 1950's, and we remained friends forever.  Her friendship was genuine, and it made her unique.  Although she no longer blossoms here, her sweet spirit shall never depart.

I was blessed to know and be part of Blue Family as one her favorite African niece.  When I met her the 1st time she loves and welcome me. She was a beautiful person in and out. Such a class and elegance. Always smiling. Anytime I visited her and my uncle we have our private party. She always give me great advice and we planned to go to Paris and Africa together. She offered me not long ago 2 set of beautiful earings. I miss her so much.  Our great time spent together. I know you're resting and rejoicing in God's kingdom.  I thank God's to be part of our family.  God's in control.  Goodbye glamour and my favorite Auntie Eunice.  You're truly missed. Watch over Uncle Randy and family. What a delightful person! Eunice Blue epitomized calm in a storm at the Department of Commerce. The grind and pressure of producing estimates each month (and several of them) was just a challenge for Ms. Blue. But her important responsibilities never rose to the level  of transforming her calm, composed, and always helpful demeanor. I hope that Ms. Blue's outlook on life continues to help shape my outlook even to this day.

May her soul rest in eternal peace.

My Aunt Eunice was my favorite aunt!! My father always used to tell me I was so much like her, i.e. My stubbornness to not always conform to what he wanted me to do.  I always looked forward to going to her house to visit because she always showered me with love. I could talk to her about anything and the things I didn't talk to her about She somehow already knew!  She admired my uniqueness and always said to me 'Be you, do what makes u happy".  My aunt was unique and had such a presence when she entered the room.  She had a walk full of grace and I don't know if she reminded me of a swan or a peacock full of color as she walked but whenever she walked into a space full of people I would stop whatever I was doing just to watch her every step as she turned heads as she passed by! (Smile). While she could put on a aire, when she opened her mouth to speak she remained true to who she was - a Strong Black Woman full of grace!  I luv u Auntie and will miss u so much!!!!

I can hear the sound of her sweet voice as I type this message to the family.  I will never forget her.  All of you are in my prayers. Peace be Still.  Love you all.

I was very sad to learn about the passing of Eunice Blue. During my many years at BEA, I had the privilege of working with Eunice as my administrative assistant. Not only was she an outstanding employee, she was also an outstanding person. She dealt with many people both inside and outside BEA, including people from all over the world. She cheerfully helped everyone, and her sunny disposition made a positive contribution to BEA's client relations. 

My thoughts and prayers are with Randy and Eunice's entire family.

As I looked through the pictures of Nana Blue, I thought "What a classy lady!". My sincere condolences to the family for the loss of your treasured love one. May God grant you peace in the knowledge that she is now gracing heaven with Christ and clothed in her finest, incorruptible garment. Love one another hard, be kind to yourself and lean on God for comfort.

I first met Eunice when I started working at BEA's NIWD in September 1975.  She always went out of her way to help me adjust and feel comfortable in the new job.  Many others felt the same way about Eunice.  My condolences to Eunice's many friends and her family.

Emerald, Deborah and Emerson I am sorry for the loss of your dear wife and mother Eunice. May loving memories, love from family and friends surround you during this very sorrowful time. God's words will comfort, strengthen and give you peace to endure the difficult days ahead (Isa. 41:10).

I have fond memories of my "Aunt" Eunice!  She was a wonderful person who obviously touched many people.  Will miss her.

Well, if Mrs Blue was in the house, I made my way across the room to hug her, sit with her and have a talk.  She was such a classy lady, easy to smile, share wisdom, laugh and wave a hand to make her point.  We would talk endlessly about DC, her time, my time and whatever we need to chit chat about.  I adored those moments and I so looked up to her easy spirit.  God Bless you in eternity for being you.

Eunice was the administrative assistant to Jerry Donohoe, the chief of the National Income and Wealth Division when I joined NIWD as my first career job in 1988.  Her sunny disposition and her ability to get things done was a blessing to me from my first day to the day I left NIWD in 1990.  I am so thankful that her legacy lives on in BEA's prestigious Eunice Blue award.

I was saddened to learn of Eunice's passing. I'm a current employee at BEA and started the same year that she retired from here. I never had the opportunity to work with her but her legacy at BEA is lasting. We have an employee award given annually in her honor and I was always happy to see her when she would come in each year to pose with the recipient. I've always heard great things about her from colleagues who did work with her. My thoughts and prayers are with her family, friends and loved ones as you mourn this wonderful woman.
