Fazil A. Mohamed , D.D.S.

Dr. Fazil A Mohamed, “Doc”, peacefully boated off into the sunset early this morning. He was loved by all, with the most kind and gentle soul. He loved the water, and fishing not just because it was a fun hobby, but because it brought his family together, and this is what he treasured most. While he is no longer here with us, we know that he remains in each of our hearts. He is survived by his wife Willa Mohamed, children, step-children and in laws, Sharon and Christopher Warner, Fazil and LeAnne Mohamed, Janan and Amir Gohari, Lisa Johnson, and Marcus Johnson, grandchildren Jordan Warner, Alexandra Warner, Miranda Pratt, Madison Warner, Julia Pratt, Chase Williams, Mina Gohari, and Armin Gohari, sisters Zilly and Farida Mohamed, brother Adil Mohamed, and countless nieces, nephews, and friends. In lieu of flowers we ask that you make a donation to the Billfish Foundation.

A Reading for him will be held Thursday, August 25, 2022 at 7:00 pm at The Islamic Society of the Washington Area, 2701 Briggs Chaney Road, Silver Spring, Maryland 20905, where his funeral service, known as The Janazah, will be held on Friday, August 26, 2022 at 10:45 am. Interment will immediately follow in George Washington Cemetery, 9500 Riggs Road, Adelphi, Maryland 20783 at approximately 12:00 noon.
