Frederick E. DeBonis, Jr.

Frederick (Fred) Edward DeBonis Jr., 82 of Germantown, MD passed away on April 3, 2023 at Holy Cross Hospital. Born on January 5, 1941 in New York, the son of Frederick Sr. and Mary (Meehan) DeBonis.

Preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Marie Porter and special friend, Ryan Didone.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years Linda (Zeisman) DeBonis; his children, Franklin, married to Maggie (Pedigo) DeBonis, Mark, married to Nickie (Oman) Hoffmann, and Jennifer, married to Kate (Snyder) Hoffmann and his grandchildren; Michael DeBonis, Cody DeBonis, Elizabeth Hoffmann; his brother-in-law, Earl Porter; many nieces and nephews and special friends, Marlene Didone and Kara (Didone) Hand.

Fred entered the Marine Corps at 18 years of age and proudly served his country. He retired from D&H Distributing and most recently from the Montgomery County Public Schools, as a bus driver. He is a member of Mother Seton Catholic Church, Germantown, MD.

Fred loved his family and loved to talk especially with his hands. He shared his stories to all in the rec room or carport while sipping coffee or a beer. He enjoyed traveling across the country in his RV and countless visits to Johnstown, PA, visiting casinos, and dancing. Fred’s kindness spread throughout his family and friends and his generosity will be missed.
