Irvin Koniak

Irv received his BS in Mechanical Engineering from City College of NY and his Masters from The University of Southern California. In 1961 he began his career with the Department of Defense in Indian Head, MD. Shortly after he moved to MD, he married the love of his life, Muriel Slovitz Koniak, and just celebrated 60 years of marriage. He was a kind and loving father to his 3 daughters who always cherished him. Irv enjoyed many things in life, but his true happiness came from being with his devoted wife and daughters. Vacationing with his family and later with dear friends was a definite highlight. He is well known for his sense of humor and his deep love and devotion to his family.

Beloved husband of Muriel Slovitz Koniak, Devoted father of Lesley (deceased) & Steve Garelick, Carrie & John Palmer, Stephanie & John Dziekan, Loving son of Minnie Rimert Koniak and Morris Koniak (deceased), Beloved brother of Audrey Silva, Cherished grandfather of Max & Brett Palmer, Seth & Abby Garelick, Bennett & Garrett Dziekan. Graveside services will be held on July 2, 2021, 1 pm at Judean Memorial Gardens.
