Joel Ganz

Joel S. Ganz, M.D. Joel passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2016. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Rhoda (Ezrin) Ganz, and children Jeri Lynn Ganz, Stefanie (Fred) Langsam, and Stacy (Steven) Kahn and cherished grandchildren, Dani Balenson, Rachel Balenson, Samara Langsam, Lilli Kahn, Gregory Kahn and Jessi Kahn. He is also survived by his sister, Rita Ganz Berman of Jacksonville, Florida.Joel practiced child, adolescent, and adult psychiatry in the metropolitan area for over 47 years. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 6 at 1:00 p.m. at Adas Israel Congregation, 2850 Quebec Street, NW, Washington DC 20008. Burial will follow at Judean Memorial Gardens in Olney, MD.Shiva will be observed Sunday through Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the home of Stefanie and Fred Langsam. Joel requested that contributions in his memory be made to the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP) Life Members Fund, 3615 Wisconsin Ave, NW, Washington, DC 20016. Contributions may also be made to the Lillian and Daniel Ezrin. Memorial Fund at Adas Israel Congregation or to JSSA Hospice, 6123 Montrose Rd, Rockville, MD 20852.
