John Harvey Canard

John Harvey Canard, 75, passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2018. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Effie. He was a devoted father of Maria Bifsas (Vasili) and Paula Murshed (Munzer); proud grandfather of Niko, Savvas, and Effie Bifsas. He is also survived by two brothers and two sisters, and many other relatives. Family will receive friends on Friday, March 30, 2018 from 4 to 8 p.m. with a Trisagion service scheduled at 5 p.m. at Hines Rinaldi Funeral Home, 11800 New Hampshire Avenue, Silver Spring, MD 20904. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Theodore Greek Orthodox Church, 7101 Cipriano Road, Lanham, MD 20706. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Suitland, MD. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John's memory to St. Theodore Greek Orthodox Church at the address above.
