Dr. John D Cunningham

John “Denny” was called home to the Lord on February 1st, 2026. John was born April 2nd, 1948, to Brian and Marie Cunningham and grew up in Bethesda, Maryland alongside his brother Brian and sister Nancy. John was a cherished veterinarian who established Highland Veterinary Hospital in Highland, MD and practiced there for over 40 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife of 45 years, Lucrecia, his children, John and Kelly, his granddaughter Avianna, and all who were fortunate to know him.

May he find eternal peace in the arms of angels.

The visitation will be held Thursday, February 19th, from 4-7 pm at Hines Rinaldi Funeral Home located at 11800 New Hampshire Ave, Silver Spring, MD 20904.

The funeral service will be held Friday, February 20th, at 11:30 am at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church located at 15663 Norbeck Blvd, Silver Spring, MD 20906.

The burial service will be held Saturday, February 21st, at 11:30 am at Gate of Heaven Cemetery located at 13801 Georgia Ave, Silver Spring, MD 20906.
