Joseph Do

Of Silver Spring, MD, died peacefully in his home on Sunday, September 13, 2015. He is survived by Emily, his wife of 39 years, and their four children, Elizabeth, Jeffrey (fiancé Jody), Laura (Tim), and Tyler, and his grandchild Liam, whom he loved playing with. He is also survived by his brother Arthur (Paula), sister Katherine, and nieces, nephews and other loved family members. A graduate of Strayer College, he was a Contract Specialist for most of his career, working first for the Smithsonian Institute and then for the Consumer Product Safety Commission, retiring in 2011. Peter enjoyed camping, gardening, boating, crabbing, and cooking. He was a Deacon at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church of Silver Spring for many years, and a Boy Scout troop leader. Peter will be remembered as a loving husband and father, and for his great sense of humor and storytelling.

Visitation will be held at Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home (www.hinesrinaldifuneralhome.com), 11800 New Hampshire Avenue, Silver Spring, MD 20904, on Sunday, September 20, from 2:00-4:00PM. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Boy Scouts of America (www.scoutingfriends.org).
